If you need to change the settings of the Register globals, please do:

1- Create a file in your local pc and call it .htaccess
2- Edit it and insert the following line:
php_flag register-globals off

IMPORTANT: if you already have an .htaccess file in your site, you better edit that one and add the line above. DONT CREATE A NEW ONE OR YOU WILL OVERWRITE IT.
